Tandoori Delights
located in the Park Circus area is well known for its pocket friendly Mughlai
and Chinese fare. The Mughlai food, however, ranks higher than the Chinese
fare. It is a very small and cozy restaurant. Consistency is never a problem
with this restaurant. The servers are friendly and very efficient and are very
prompt with their food service.
Though they do not have an extensive menu, all the items
mentioned in the menu card are available. The mutton chaaps are well seasoned
and cooked to perfection. The meat is tender and soft. The taste of the dish is
simply unforgettable. This dish can be had with their generously applied butter
Nan or tandoori roti. Even their chicken dishes are splendidly prepared. Whether it is chicken reshmi kebab, chicken Tikka
kebab or chicken tangri
kebab; the kebabs are always succulent and juicy. Their chicken tandoori is
always well turned out. The meat is not cooked hurriedly and the juice remained
in the meat. The portions are such that there is no place left in the stomach
after having consumed their mouthwatering kebabs and chicken tandoori. You
cannot find any fault with their Biryani too. Unlike a Shiraz or Zeeshan, their
Biryani offerings are very limited but the Biryani does not leave a heavy
feeling in your stomach.
They do make some tasty and decent Chinese fare. Some
popular Chinese dishes that find a lot of takers are their lemon chicken,
Sichuan chicken and chilli chicken. Even
their seafood items – be it sweet and sour prawns, chilli fish or Manchurian
prawn - are worth devouring from this very simple establishment. Most of their
meat items go very well with their well cooked fried rice and Chowmein staples.
