Food that is joyous as well as golden

Among the many Chinese restaurants in Tangra Golden Joy is a must visit. Because of its location- it is not situated like the other restaurants in Tangra in a linear manner and is located in a narrow lane- one might fail to spot it at first.  Even then, over the years it has built up a loyal clientele of foodies. Like its name the ‘joy’ is definitely of a ’ golden’ kind. Where food is concerned it is a value for your money kind of restaurant. The feeling of Chineseness is not only limited to the cuisine but is there in the décor created by hangings on the walls, the colour red of the walls and the dimly lit light. The food prices are not exorbitant. Though ordering alcohols from here will definitely burn a deep hole in your pocket. The food on offer is not only delicious but the quantity served won’t disappoint you.

If money is not a problem, all the food items on offer are worth sampling. Begin the food journey with starters like Prawn Fried Wantons or Chicken Fried ones and hear the sound of crunch as you bite into the wanton skin. For soup lovers you can take your pick from the usual Chicken Sweet Corn Soup to the more exotic and expensive Asparagus Soup. Like in the menu of any restaurant , there is the usual offering of rice and noodle dishes , but the tender and juicy meat dishes is what make Golden Joy a must return  . The portions of meat served are not comparable to any other Chinese restaurant in Tangra. Again the meat dishes that are fried still retain their softness and juiciness. A great dining-in experience wouldn’t be complete without the ever helpful staff of the restaurant. All in all for a well-spent time and money Golden Joy it should be.
