PREVIEW: RAJASTHAN ROYALS Vs PUNE WARRIORS INDIA- MAY 13, 2012

After such an exciting Saturday, this Sunday will also unveil two more exciting matches, the first one being between Rajasthan Royals and Pune Warriors India. This match will be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on May 13, 2012 from 4.00 PM. Rajasthan is mainly looking for this match because they need a win in this match to get into the qualifying rounds.

When two teams are out of the playoffs, only four teams are competing for the playoffs, Rajasthan Royals lost one of their important matches against Chennai Super Kings on May 10. Losing this match has taken a toll on their position as the team is now residing in the 6th position. So, in tomorrow’s match against Pune, Rajasthan has to bag a victory to sustain in this competition for playoffs. Rajasthan batting is wobbling with their batting line up. In their last match, none of the players, apart from Brad Hodge (33) has been successful on the bat although, this team has an array of most explosive batsmen. It was expected that inclusion of Shane Watson will be a plus factor for this team but he too failed to contribute for this team. In comparison to batting squad, bowlers came out as more efficient with attacking delivery. So to be back in the winning ride, the team needs to improve their batting strikes.

On the other hand, Pune Warriors India is already out of the playoffs. So there is no pressure over this team for getting entry into the playoffs. This can work as an advantage for Pune to defy Rajasthan because there is a lot of pressure over the latter. Pune can easily get through this match as this is just a pre-scheduled match to play for them. The team will be looking for another win to leave this IPL with some more points in pocket. Moreover, Pune will also look for revenge because last time when these two teams confronted each other in Pune’s home ground, Rajasthan won by 7 wickets. Giving a good start in this IPL, this team has given a stunt to this tournament but gradually the team started losing successive matches and finally pushed down to 8th position in the Points Table. Before leaving this IPL with a discerning mood, the team is looking for bounce back and who knows, this can happen tomorrow only!
