MATCH PREVIEW: KINGS XI PUNJAB V RAJASTHAN ROYALS ON MAY 5, 2012

Second match of the day with lots of excitement! Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals are facing each other on May 5, 2012 at Punjab Cricket Stadium, Chandigarh. The match will start at 8.00 PM. When one team is riding on a winning horse, the other is lagging behind because of their losing streak. So this match apparently seems like a match between a weak and a strong team but in reality, the match is between two equally strong teams.
Initiating with an underrated performance rate, Kings XI Punjab started proving their ability as this fifth session of IPL started to progress. Getting a glorious victory in the last two matches against two strong teams, this Punjab team is now in a winning stream and is looking for another victory in today’s match. There are some superb players in this team who are responsible to hold the victory color as well as the entire Punjab team firmly. Skipper Saini and Captain Hussey were outstanding in their last match against Bangalore to put a good score for the team while Mahmood was in full attacking form to pick up 3 wickets giving 20 runs. If the team succeeds in giving this type of performance in today’s match, then it is really a matter to worry about for Rajasthan team.
Losing the last four matches successively, Rajasthan Royals has been pushed back to seventh position from the top positions. Giving a good start to this IPL with an array of best batsmen in the team, Rajasthan team gradually failed to prove their ability. Captain Rahul Dravid is really worried about the team’s performance rate as he also admits that this is not expected from his team. In their last match against the table topper Delhi, when Rajasthan was almost huffing and puffing to get 141, Shewag alone scored 73. Only Rahane and Shewag were stable that day, that too not in an outstanding way. However, there is another good thing for Rajasthan team to bounce back and that is the inclusion of one of the world’s best all rounder, Shane Watson. If all these batsmen are back in their form, then Punjab will surely be in a threat.
Both the teams have star cricketers and so the match can turn in any side at any moment. So, to experience the excitement of every moment of this match, either be there in Punjab ground or be in front of SET MAX to watch live telecast of this match.
