This is
the last match of IPL 2012 before the qualifying round begins and this match
will also put an end to all the discussion about the selection of the third and
fourth teams in the playoffs. This is no more a vital match for both the teams-
Rajasthan
Royals and Mumbai Indians because
Rajasthan is already out of the playoffs as they have lost their last match
against Deccan. The match will be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur from
8.00 PM onwards.
There is
almost no chance to be in the playoffs for Rajasthan Royals because after losing
their last match against Deccan in their last match, the team needs to win this
last match for pride before ending this IPL 2012 campaign. However, if they win
the last match, then this team could have competed with Bangalore
and Punjab for the
playoffs. So now when there is no way to be in the playoffs, Rajasthan will
mainly focus on their performance today to defeat their rival which is one of
the strongest team in this season.
Mumbai
Indians on the other side are still in the third position in the tally table
but their position in the playoffs is not yet confirmed because in their last
match against Kolkata, they have lost the match. So Mumbai is looking towards
this match to bag a win to confirm their position. If Mumbai can win this match,
then there will be no other competitors for the third position. After playing
impressive innings throughout this tournament, Mumbai is a much deserved team
in the playoffs and so Captain Harbhajan along with his team mates are ready to
knock out Rajasthan in this match. In their last match, the batting and
fielding of Mumbai was extremely disappointing which they have to improve in today’s
match to sustain in this tournament.
This last
match of this IPL is an extremely exciting and breathtaking when both the teams
are running towards the same goal- playoffs. So this Sunday evening will turn
out to be a fabulous one for the IPL viewers.
