Host Chinese Restaurant in Block B of Lake Town definitely serves up some delicious Chinese fare. Though I was there last year, the memory of the food I had there still makes me salivate. The cosy and comfortable environment simply enhances the whole dining experience. The place not only provides adequate but comfortable sitting arrangements. With regards to their food, though it’s only regular, basic Chinese fare, the taste of the food here is simply splendid.

Their starters make juicy and scrumptious options. They are crispy and mouth watering preparations. Some of the starters worth mentioning are chilli baby corn, chicken spring roll and chicken drumsticks.

Their fried rice and noodle staples are light and non oily preparations. Fried rice options like mixed fried rice and chicken fried rice are also quite decent. The rice is not dry and the meat pieces are visibly enough. Likewise, noodles like chicken Hakka chow, prawn Hakka chow and mixed chow cannot be given a miss and must be an integral part of your meal here, though it is their side dishes that they are most sought after. A dish like sweet and sour prawn comes with beautiful and juicy prawns covered in rich and tangy gravy.

Sadly, they only offer ice cream such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry – helping you end your meal on a very sweet note but with limited choices.

The food does not take very long to reach your table from the kitchen. The food served is still fresh and piping hot. The quantity served here is good so you need keep your capacity to eat in mind before you order. Going in groups is the best way to enjoy food there.
