Tide your hunger over with Hungry Tide

Rating: 2.5 out of 5

It is not always possible to drop in to a high rated restaurant to appease your appetite with some scrumptious food all the time. Sometimes, you need to satisfy your hunger at decent restaurants that please your heart and soul while providing you a superb meal without burning a hole in your pocket. Hungry Tide at Gariahat near Hindustan Park is one such restaurant that will give your appetite a grand treat when you are running short on money.

To be honest, I basically love to explore such average food joints in our city that offer customers a wide variety of choices without overcharging them. A very small food joint, with absolutely no dine-in options available except a few stools to sit on, this place offers a variety of Chinese and continental options at very reasonable prices.

As it is such a small space, there is hardly anything to talk about its ambience but the place is clean. In the starters section, I have always tried their crab cakes and chilli sausages. Though it is a small food joint, they really know how to satisfy their customers with delicious preparations and that too in sufficient quantities. The sausages are so succulent and soft (along with the tint of hotness of the chillies) that you go with the flow. Chicken Stroganoff is another item that is a must try at this place, and is served with a yummy and creamy sauce along with a small quantity of herb rice. Their momos were quite good too.

If you are there for light refreshments, you can always gorge into their salads or sandwiches because both are really nice and prepared with loads of yummy add-ons like cheese or mayonnaise.
