ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE Vs PUNE WARRIORS: MATCH PREVIEW - APRIL 17, 2012

This is the 21st match of IPL 2012 where Royal Challengers Bangalore will take over Pune Warriors India in their home ground at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. This is the second match of the day, the first being played between Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers. This match will be held in front of the huge Bangalore crowd and will commence at 8.00 PM IST.
At the beginning of this fifth season of IPL, when each of the participating teams was analyzed, Bangalore team appeared as one of the favorites because of their efficient and megastar team players and also for their last year’s outstanding performance. On the contrary, the Pune Warriors India was considered as an underdog because of the lack of a good number of experienced players. However, as this league proceeded, the assessments appeared quite wrong.
After losing the last two matches, the position of the Bangalore team has dipped a little and so Daniel Vettori will look forward to regain the team’s position by getting a win in this match. This team is having a difficult time because most of its powerful players are lagging in their performance scale. Last Sunday, while playing against Rajasthan Royals, this team faced an embarrassing defeat.
On the other hand, the Pune Warriors is bagging one win after the other and is among the top three teams in the Points Table. Out of the 4 matches played in this IPL, this team has got 3 glorious victories, the last one against two time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings. All the overseas players along with the Indian ones in this team are not just batsmen or bowlers. Most of them are efficient all-rounder, which has come out as an additional advantage for Captain Saurav Ganguly. The main backbone behind Sunday’s match against Chennai was Jesse Ryder who made maximum run to achieve the target.
So in today’s match, let us see whether ‘Dada’ will again turn out as a lucky captain or Bangalore team will take the advantage of their home ground to upgrade their position. So, let us all put our fingers crossed till the last ball of the day for our respective favorite teams.
Here is the list of probable players for both the teams:
