PREVIEW: KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS V RAJASTHAN ROYALS

In the last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders have got the flavor of victory and to maintain that position, the team will look forward to get its second win in this IPL 2012 when they will confront Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on April 13 at 8.00 PM sharp.
After losing the first two matches in this IPL, Kolkata team concentrated on reshuffling among the team players to improve the team performance and this strategy worked out on the cricket ground on April 10 when they confronted 2011 IPL runner-up team, Royal Challengers Bangalore. Captain Gautam Gambhir has elevated his position in the team line-up of eleven players and dropped out Kiwi batsman, Brandon McCullum who is not in his usual explosive form. The biggest change in this team is the inclusion of a veteran seamer like Laxmipathy Balaji who has started to show off his magical bowling affect from the last match. These changes have really turned out as a plus point for the team in their last match and are likely to show the same spell in today’s match also.
With successive win from their inaugural match, the Rajasthan team finally collapsed in front of Mumbai Indians on April 11. Moreover this was the first match for this team in this IPL, which was played outside their home ground. So, today’s match is a challenge for the team to register its first win out of the home ground. However, Rahul Dravid’s captaincy has changed the body language of the team players in this season, which is one of the vital points to boost up the team spirit.
This is the second time in this IPL that these two teams are confronting each other. In the previous match, held in Jaipur, Rajasthan Royals got the privilege of their home ground and bagged a glorious victory. This time it is Kolkata’s turn to push the Rajasthan team to a corner so that KKR can easily put the match into their fist. Very hard to predict today’s match results, when the enthusiastic Kolkata supporters are ready to cheer the team with “Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo Re…,” the Rajasthan fans are ready to create an environment of “Halla Bol” in Eden ground.
