Whenever it comes to desserts, I always love to drench my taste buds with chocolate. And Café Chokolade has always pleased me with its wide range of chocolate flavors. Situated at 4A, Wood Street near Vardhan Market, Kolkata, Café Chokolade is the heaven for all chocolate lovers like me. It is a small cafeteria with a few seating arrangements. All the four walls are draped in wall papers featuring magnified images of choco shakes, ice-creams and other choco preparations. This tempting visual representation of mouth watering chocolates will simply drag you inside the outlet.

The first time when I had been there, the staff guided me to choose the best preparation and according to his guidance I picked up Choco Mastani. Yummy and delicious! As the dark chocolate was rolling down my tongue to my throat, I was in a dream world. It was flowing so much with streams of chocolate that I placed another order. The next one for me was Roasted Almond Cad Shake which was again awesome. So thick and tasty, with crushes of almond swimming in the pool of thick chocolate playfully. That day, I walked out of the store with such a blissful and happy mind that I felt I was out of this world for all those 45 minutes. I was there with my friend but both of us were so submerged in chocolate that we rarely had any time to chit chat. My first experience was very much precious for me that I made a second visit there within a few days. This time I got crazy over ice-creams and went on having them one by one.  The first one was Choco Bite followed by Roasted Almond, Guava and Musk Melon. I generally don’t prefer fruit flavored ice-creams but my friend indulged me to have Guava. Its taste was so sinful that I placed a second order for Musk Melon. These ice-creams totally changed my idea about fruit flavored ice-creams. Keep it up guys!

D-Oh! Boy, I love you…

I have tasted donuts at various cafes and dessert shops but what D-Oh! Boy has served me is just amazing. I am sure if D-Oh! Boy had not been there, Kolkata would have never seen or tasted such a wide variety of incredibly awesome donuts. D-Oh! Boy, a cozy little store at 25/1, Shakespeare Sarani, Kolkata is a wonderful place for me to enjoy a donut party with friends. The first time when I was there, I was just awe-struck to see so many kinds of donuts at their counter with different types of toppings and color. The only phrase that I utter was, “My God!”

I soon placed my order considering the beauty of each type of donuts. My order included White Chocolate with Raspberry, Hazelnut Whirlpool and Cheezilicious. My God! Each bite was too good. So soft, juicy and yummy! It smoothly melted inside the mouth leaving a warm creamy flavor for the taste buds. Though donuts have a hole at their center but these donuts at D-Oh! Boy never burn a hole in your pocket while giving a amazing treat to your tummy and mind. After this first visit, D-Oh! Boy has impressed me so much that I have become a frequent visitor at this place. Apart from these three types of donuts, Deep Dark Desire and Black Forest have also swayed me away a number of times. 

Apart from these super soft delicious donuts, D-Oh! Boy is also expert in quenching my thirst with its refreshing beverages. Creamy Chocolate, Crunchy Kitkat and Oreo Time are some of my favorite options here. Sandwiches at D-Oh! Boy are well known as D-Oh! Wiches and each type of these veg sandwiches are also great combination to complement the sweet taste of the donuts. If you are there anytime, at least don’t miss the heavenly opportunity to taste the flavor and softness of their Deep Dark Desire and White Chocolate with Raspberry donuts combined with a Crunchy Kitkat shake if you can handle all that sweetness!
